If you are enamored with the idea of a seaside wedding on an exotic tropical island, you can think no better than Jamaica, the third-largest island in the Caribbean. In terms of natural scenic beauty it has all and more than you could want; over seven miles of sparkling and soft sandy beaches, aquamarine warm sea waters that abound with colorful marine life, diving reefs, waterfalls, lush tropical vegetation, and much more.

You can be confident that you and all your near and dear ones who have come to celebrate your wedding will have the time of their lives with the unique ambiance and the blend of reggae music and the vibrant local culture.

Weddings in Jamaica are great fun given the wonderful facilities of the resorts and hotels and the hospitable locals who will go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful visit. You can check out Aruwai Resort Guyana that actually sits on an island, in the Mazaruni River.

When to Visit and Other Basics

The best time for weddings in Jamaica is in the winter that starts in December and lasts till April. The average temperature during these months is 75 °F so the term "winter” may be somewhat confusing! The pleasant climate at this time of the year is a big draw with tourists as well as couples tying the knot.

You can encounter windy conditions in March and April that may prevent participation in many watersport activities. June to November is the official hurricane season and unless you are particularly adventurous, best avoided for marriages.

Casual linens and lightweight cotton are best for the entire year. Raincoats, umbrellas, sunhats should be kept handy as rain is never too far away. Do carry a jacket or a sweater if you intend to visit the mountainous regions. Despite seasonal variations, Jamaica has strictly no off-seasons.
